Care for your mat:

After use, the mats are best hung out in the sunshine or fresh air to air out

Wool is a naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial fibre so the nasties are getting pushed to the surface, and with a good airing they are as good as gold

If you get any marks on your mat they can be spot-washed with warm water and a natural soap

Shedding will occur in the initial uses, the excess wool can be plucked off without causing any damage to your mat
